Course overview:
- Thursday, Feb. 9, 8:00 – 9:00 pm: Embassy Suites Ballroom
Topic: Elements of Gesture: Connecting Conducting and Literacy – Introduction and discussion
- Friday, Feb. 21 and Saturday, Feb. 22, various hours: Embassy Suites convention rooms
Topic: Attend 12.5 hours of rehearsals and performances by the Colorado All State Choirs and the 30 minute session “Demystifying the COASC Audition.”
A course log will be completed indicating length of each session attended and specific techniques observed that address student engagement.
- Friday, Feb. 21, 9:45 – 10:15 am: Demystifying the COASC Audition.
- Friday, Feb. 21, 2:30 – 3:30 pm: Embassy Suites Ballroom
Topic: Elements of Gesture: Connecting Conducting and Literacy – Discussion and Wrap-up
Student Work Product: Submit a video and short narrative addressing elements of gesture and literacy
